A male Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) was having a little nap on this branch. We are in the midst of a weather event, bringing Minus temperatures and strong cold winds! Doesn’t seem to bother these guys. He comes over to the feeder every 10 minutes or so has a drink and goes back to this perch!
Here’s a bright shinny Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) in all his bright Spring colours.
A pair of Mallards (Anas platyrhychos) on a log, in a bog!
To all my friends, my Hummer friend and I wish you the Very Best of the Season!
Here’s my boy today! It’s almost dusk, so he’s getting his last drink before roosting. He’s an Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) at our feeder in the garden. He’s rather in a blur here, but the light was quite poor and I’m glad his head is so fantastic!
