A number of Gulls flying north appear to be coming out of the sun.
The end of a perfect Winter day today. Marking almost the middle of the month the temperature was up to 11 degrees C and it was sunny. Every Sundown here, the Crows flock together and head down south to where the roost for the night. I don’t know where exactly, but it must be a noisy place, when they all gather! Also in this shot is a flock of Gulls heading inland for the night.
The other day I posted a photo of this field with the Golden Ears Mountains highlighted against a rusty gate. Today this is the same field. No mountains today, as it’s rained all day. But, birds galore. This flock of Gulls, about 90 of them were sitting in the field until we drove up, then they took off. Also on the field were a bunch of ducks. Find the Mallards here! Also in the trees theres about 35 crows and over the other way a Bald Eagle. So it was productive!
As the sun sinks into the distant horizon the last light illuminates the water and the Gulls have a last fly before roosting for the night. Storm clouds threaten from the east with Blain, Washington in the background.
As the sun goes down the Gulls are headed to their roost for the night.
