Coming Down the Line

Comingdowntheline.jpg

A CPR train rolling southbound into Huntingdon, in Abbotsford.  This black & white shot made with a yellow filter to bring out the ruggedness of the mountains, without which they faded away into the background.  I like this version best!

Crossing

CrossingA.jpg

A crossing over the CPR’s main line in Maple Ridge with the Fraser River in the background.  I thought the colour of the sky and clouds was quite interesting.

CPR Freight northbound from the USA

CPR Tunnel 2, Yale, B.C.

Located just north of Yale, B.C, the Canadian Pacific Railway Tunnel 2 is part of the CPR's main line through the Fraser Canyon. It is 128 feet long through solid rock and was built in 1890. Hard to thing of modern trains going through this small hole in the rock!
