I quite pleased about my hummers today! We haven’t seen them for a week or so, but today both the male and female showed up! Here is the female Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) She doesn’t go in for all that flashy bling that her mate has, but she is a perfect jewel none the less!
A flock of Northwestern Crows (Corvus caurinus) gathered under the trees.
A pair of Mallards (Anas platyrhychos) on a log, in a bog!
An occasional visitor to our garden is the Chestnut-backed Chickadee (Poecile refescens)
Here’s a couple of House Finches (Carpodacus mexicanus) The male on the left. Judging from their name they probably wish they were in Mexico right now!
