Red in the Rain

I generally don’t let the weather dictate what I do. If we did that, we’d all be housebound and stir crazy! We have another rainy day here, but I let this Japanese Maple in our yard, brighten my day. The raindrops enhance the leaves. This tree is really full of all these pretty red leaves!

The Ferns in our backyard seem to be growing a foot a day. I guess they like the wet weather.

Precious Growth

Along the sidewalk of the park that I walk the dog in, there are quite a few Alder trees. Guess that’s why it’s called Aldergrove. Here’s one that is just starting to send out it’s leaves. Lovely Spring signs. ┬áThe round things are mature female Catkins.A

Smiling Faces

At our front door, we have an overhang over the door. These Pansies have been there in a pot all winter long. They are getting a bit of sun and warm now and are looking good!
