Canoes

We have been away on holidays for the past few weeks, travelling across the great Canadian plains as far as Eastern Manitoba. Along the way the saw many wonderful sights and managed to photograph lots of them. They will be the subject of this blog for the next while! Here's one of our first stops. Lightning Lakes at Manning Park, B.C. This is an alpine lake and was quite cool with the wind coming off the still snow clad mountains nearby!

CPR Tunnel 2, Yale, B.C.

Located just north of Yale, B.C, the Canadian Pacific Railway Tunnel 2 is part of the CPR's main line through the Fraser Canyon. It is 128 feet long through solid rock and was built in 1890. Hard to thing of modern trains going through this small hole in the rock!
