An occasional visitor to our garden is the Chestnut-backed Chickadee (Poecile refescens)
Here’s a couple of House Finches (Carpodacus mexicanus) The male on the left. Judging from their name they probably wish they were in Mexico right now!
It makes me wonder what this little Dark-eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis) is thinking as the snow falls around him! Probably yearning for warmer days! Me too!
I know, the colour of this bird has nothing to do with the Holidays, but it does look rather festive! A Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus) is a nice addition to any winter scene!
