In the late afternoon yesterday the moon was very bright as the sun’s last rays played on its surface. Lots of detail.

    Beautiful. I like the dark blue background of daylight better than the night shots with pitch black around the moon. What length lens did you use?

    • Merle, thank you! The setting sun really set the moon up nicely! I have a Nikon P900 it has a very long lens. 2000mm optical. It is really quite amazing! I took this shot at 2000 hand held!

        Yes, I’ve heard that camera will pull it in. Amazingly sharp for a handheld at such a long focal length.
