In the late afternoon yesterday the moon was very bright as the sun’s last rays played on its surface. Lots of detail.

Beautiful. I like the dark blue background of daylight better than the night shots with pitch black around the moon. What length lens did you use?

Merle, thank you! The setting sun really set the moon up nicely! I have a Nikon P900 it has a very long lens. 2000mm optical. It is really quite amazing! I took this shot at 2000 hand held!
Yes, I’ve heard that camera will pull it in. Amazingly sharp for a handheld at such a long focal length.

Merle, It has some limitations, but for this type of shot it does extremely well!
