Along nature’s trail the Wild Rose are starting to bloom. Here’s a fine example from this afternoon at the Lagoon.

A very fine blossom, Robin! This is not strictly a “wild rose”, since it shows some evidence of hybridization, namely the large number of petals . The true wild rose, as I understand it, is five-petaled, as in the symbol adopted by Martin Luther.
